A New Breed of Rodeo Excitement

Based in the heart of rodeo country, a few miles from Great Falls, Montana, the JS Rodeo Company is a new breed of rodeo enterprise. Formed in 2004, as a partnership between John ES Smith and J. Patrick Johnson, the company raises award-winning bucking horses and bulls and produces a wide variety of unique events each year.

JS Rodeo bucking stock has made appearances at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, the Dodge National Circuit Finals in Pocatello winning top honors for Barebacks with #58 Let's Play in 2008. And, also in 2008, #312 Phess won Bull of the Year.

Their livestock has made other notable appearances at the Ariat Championship Series in Caldwell, Omaha, and Dallas as well as other top rodeos in the country including Home of Champions Rodeo in Red Lodge, the Helldorado Days in Las Vegas and The Cody Stampede.

The bull pen has a number of outstanding bucking bulls featuring Phess being ridden only 3 times ever with scores of 88, 89 and 90 and another home raised, exciting young bull named Josey Wales ridden by Corey Navarre recently winning the Cody Stampede in 2009 with 88 points. Many of this same bull pen has made numerous appearances at PBR and Xtreme Bulls events including Billings, Cody, Vaughn, Forsyth, Bozeman, Laughlin, Nevada, Grand Rapids, Michigan and Redding, Pennsylvania.
